'CREW have used their talent and experience to understand our unique setting and the needs of our staff, both as a team and as individuals, and have persuaded, encouraged and challenged them to reach their full potential. For every individual this training has had a significant effect - making them feel valued, motivated and inspired both professionally and personally. The effects of this training are not limited to the interactions our staff have with visitors but permeate the culture of our organisation. CREW training has made our team more confident in their abilities, more flexible in their approach and has immeasurably improved the experience of our visitors.'

The CREW courses have changed how we interact with our public and they have transformed the lives and confidence of the staff being trained. This is down to CREW’s knowledge of the communication process and their experience with visitors and a wide range of audiences, but most of all to their ability to persuade, energise, motivate and inspire people to release their inner confidence. The course is the pinnacle for our communicators and is eagerly awaited within the team…this is a personal journey for your staff that will transform their performance, with the visitor and your organisation.

The course has provided me with tons of techniques that I can, and have, applied to different shows. I have grown in confidence and am looking at each show I do as a challenge, pushing myself to do new things. Well run course with a good level of development from start to finish. Thanks for everything.

‘The CREW training process has helped my staff and managers see their roles in a refreshing and new way. The training has boosted the team’s confidence and given them new tools to interact with our visitors, which is now being applied to other aspects of their roles. This in turn has lead to remarkable feedback from internal staff and more importantly public response has been overwhelmingly positive. As a team, the training has allowed them to bond, share a common visitor focussed terminology and develop an evaluation processes that keeps everyone inspired and on track.’
Annie Devitt, Head of Learning
National Railway Museum
The Crew team have worked with our visitor facing staff and volunteers to completely change the way that they interact with our visitors. They have introduced a common customer service philosophy and terminology that has harnessed all the knowledge and passion of our team and turned them into real tools that they can use. The team now feel much more confident interacting with visitors, dealing with complaints and helping them to access our collection. The training process was carried out in such a way as to make every individual feel engaged, grow in confidence and bond as a team. This process has given our team the chance to see their customer interaction opportunities in a completely new light and the inspiration to deliver to the best of their ability. Well done, CREW!

‘I now feel far more positive in my approach to people in general and I am not frightened in coming forward. Before I would just stand at my station, behind the till. Now I can actually ‘make’ a sale in the shop, not by being pushy but by putting a product ‘in the customer’s hand’ and you can bet your life, they will buy!’
Gisele, Retail Assistant, Newquay Zoo.
‘Since the Course, we actively try to rehearse the training so that the skills are not lost. We are working on how to revamp the talks for this summer. We have also worked very hard to get the Zoo team together to discuss morale boosting and profit expanding ideas, and have created a newsletter with the objective of aiding communications and improving how the team works together. All of these elements have come about because of the CREW training! Thank you.’
Cher, Education Team, Newquay Zoo.
The training the presenters at ZSL London zoo received was fantastic in not only improving presentation skills but bringing the team together and encouraging them to work together. The CREW training was beneficial to a wide variety of presenters with very differing backgrounds and was influential in expanding the live interpretation programme within ZSL.

I have discovered a new me and am, now, able to express myself clearly. The training allowed me to feel comfortable with my colleagues, despite all the differences, and to work together much better.
CREW worked with, a wide range of our staff, from graduates to people who have a learning disability. The training was intense and challenging, yet the enthusiastic and energetic CREW team were able to make the learning accessible to our staff across their range of ability and they supported our staff through any difficulties they encountered. The outcomes for our team have been spectacular. Each member of staff is now confident and comfortable, with their skill bases having increased tenfold. Staff have learnt to trust and support each other, to relax and have fun, whilst staying in control. As a team building exercise this was a massively successful undertaking, blending old and new staff members and helping to create a dynamic, motivated and effective staff team. Overall CREW training has been a brilliant option for empowering our team, I would highly recommend it for anyone!!

Reading Museum benefited enormously from the CREW training for the Interpretation and learning team. Many of the team said it was the most inspiring CPD (continuing professional development) that they had ever received. It introduced a new, more creative way of working and helped to cement the team into a confident, high achieving group that were able to translate their training to successful work with our school and family audience. As learning manager I found it highly motivational and having a fully scripted workshop on Victorian life ready to deliver at the end of the training made it a very worthwhile investment.
